Con Dao Weather At A Glance

Located in the Eastern Sea, Con Dao Island is home to 16 lush tropical islands and some of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. The island boasts an ideal summer escape for tourists looking for relaxing and getting away from it all.

Con Dao’s weather features a relatively cool and pleasant weather all year round which can be attributable to three primary factors including a location in the Asian monsoon climate, the influence of ocean climate and typical weather in southeast Vietnam. In addition, like most of regions in southern Vietnam, there are two distinct seasons: dry and rainy which are affected by the north-east and south-west monsoon on the island.

Rainy season lasts from May to November while dry season with cool weather runs from December to April. Each season bestows the island typical characteristics which are suitable for a lot of activities. Therefore, tourists just need to decide their best time visit based on their preferences.

“Traveling alone doesn’t always mean you’re alone. Most often, you meet marvelous people along the way and make connections that last a lifetime.”

Jacqueline Boone

For beach lovers, although the sea is calmest from March to July, the driest time from November to February is the best time to adore diving and explore the ocean. Adventurous travelers will definitively love hiking and trekking tours in July.
